About Quiltworx and Their Amazing Patterns

Judy Niemeyer, owner and CEO of Quiltworx.com, founded the company after nearly 20 years of creating custom quilts, raising her children, and teaching at the Quilt Gallery in Kalispell, MT. Using her family’s engineering expertise, she revolutionized traditional quilting with technology, speeding up the process, creating previously impossible designs, and developing foundation paper piecing techniques to eliminate many of the challenges that quilters face in the quest to create the “perfect quilt.”

I discovered Quiltworx in 2021 quite by accident and attended my first retreat with Judy in Kalispell, MT. I knew right away I wanted to become a Certified Instructor and was in fact certified to teach in January 2023. I absolutely love making and quilting these quilts and other smaller projects.

In 2025, Quiltworx released their eighth, and newest Technique of the Month (ToM) pattern the Jungle Magnolia. This pattern is only available for purchase through a Certified Shops, or by taking a class with a Certified Instructor, like myself.

Quiltworx has been designing these heirloom quilt designs since 2010 with the very first ToM - Glacier Star. Current ToM patterns can be purchased in a Wall size (80"x80") or Queen size (99"x99").  If you’re after a king sized quilt, the 80×80 wall quilt can be expanded to 118×118 by purchasing one of our JNQ00277-H borders.

My current live and Zoom LIVEstream classes for ToMs is for Jungle Magnolia, but I'm happy to book private and group teaching for any of the other quilts in this collection.
