Handmade = LOVE
Right now our world is turned upside down. Many of us are Sheltering in Place and wondering what will happen and how we can help. What better way to show LOVE than for our Maker Community to help by making masks for anyone in need. There are many groups on a Mask Making Mission. If you are in the Missoula, Montana area you can help us provide masks for groups needing masks during this unprecedented time. To date we have already provided over 500 masks in our community! Follow us on Facebook for more and up-to-date information as well.

Thanks to the very talented co-founder of Handmade Montana, Carol Lynn Lapotka, for a great pattern! AND you can sew everything up and insert twist ties and elastic when they become available. Twist tie is optional.
Here is the pattern to download to sew from home if you have enough supplies. A recent update to the pattern is to have the pleats facing up and not down as in the video. There is also a video tutorial to help you step-by-step. The pocket in the mask can contain a N95 mask and offer a way to possibly extend the life of the mask. These are not intended as proper PPE, but used as a barrier for large droplets. Kiddo ones might help those needing to go out to protect them and make them more aware not to touch their face.
We are currently taking requests for masks for organizations & businesses. Please connect with me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org for details and consider making a donation through the DONATE link.
Thank you for wanting to help!
If you are in the Polson - Flathead - Kalispell area, please connect with Carol Lynn at ReCreate Designs to help with the mask making effort there.
