If you've got little ones you've surely heard about the new Netflix series Waffles + Mochi!?!? Waffles + Mochi, Michelle Obama, and the Partnership for a Healthier America are taking children and their families on food adventures at home! Children can earn badges with their family by cooking recipes from the show and exploring new ingredients, and donate to pass the love to families in need.
The Littles in our home daycare just love it as much as we do. My husband, having once worked as a chef, loves how the show adds to what is already a big part of our daycare...cooking food from scratch and eating healthy. I went looking for the aprons worn on the show, but to no avail so of course I just made my own!
Now you can order one for your Little and part of the proceeds will be donated to Pass the Love. The donation to Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) will provide Pass the Love meal kits to families facing food insecurity, spreading the joy of cooking with fresh ingredients, just like Waffles + Mochi on their adventures.
These little aprons are my own design and are double sided so they can be turned around to the solid side as well. The sun on the front is made with 100% wool felt, each piece cut and laid out, ironed on and then stitched down. The best part about this design is that the apron ties are one piece and moves through the casing so that it can be easily sized and fits a child age 1 1/2 to 8 years of age. Made with premium 100% cotton.
